North Country Life Flight was honored to be included in the Found Caravan Corvette Club "Cruisin' Around the Mountains" event this month. Over 100 gorgeous Corvettes participated and North Country Life Flight joined the Club at their luncheon at Ellis Chevrolet Buick Pontiac GMC in Malone on Saturday, June 6.
The importance of the North Country Life Flight Air Medical Rescue team was evident to all who attended after a personal testimonal was given by the family of a Life Flight patient. By the end of the day, $1,500 was raised by the Club and donated to the local charity. The auction of the print, Concours d' Elegance at Ault Park by David Snyder raised $500 for Life Flight. The remaining dollars raised were individual donations which is the backbone of North Country Life Flight's funding.

We thank all the Club members and Ellis Automotive for their hospitality and generosity.

SITDOWN, SMACKDOWN!

It was a fabulous day in Lake Placid at the historic 1980 Olympic Center Arena as volunteers took a seat to raise funds for North Country Life Flight. It was the inaugural "Sit Down, Smack Down," an event sponsored by WSLP-FM 93.3. In less than 30 minutes, energetic and motivated volunteers sat in every one of the 7,700 seats in the Arena! Among the spirited volunteers taking a seat for Life Flight, were U.S. Olympians, the Lake Placid High School Honor Society, Life Flight volunteers and Tri-Lakes politicians. In fact, WSLP was trying to get a friendly competition going between the Mayors. Tri-Lakes politicians supported the event in full force.
