Wilbur Bailey, Assistant Fire Chief, St. Regis Falls Volunteer Fire Department (r) talks with Chief Flight Nurse Chuck Pandolph about the logistics of flying critically injured patients from the scene of an accident. Wilbur and members the St. Regis Falls Volunteer Fire Department excel at knowing when an aircraft is needed; mobilizing resources and coordinating efforts, especially when multiple agencies are involved. It’s a pleasure working with them, and we are appreciative of their generous support. Wilbur brought Life Flight a check for $1,250, proceeds of their recent bake & rummage sale. Thanks so much!

Wing Wars 3!

Not only will you get a chance to eat as many tasty wings as you want at Wing Wars 3, you might just take home a kayak!    Saratoga Eagle, distributors of Yuengling has donated a lightweight kayak to raffle off at Wing Wars 3 happening Sunday, November 14 from noon-4 at Wiseguys in Lake Placid.    Tickets will be sold at Wing Wars 3!    Raffle proceeds will benefit Life Flight!     The money will be used for care of critically ill or seriously injured Life Flight patients. 

Participating eateries in Wing Wars 3 include: 2008 & 2009 Wing War Champion Wiseguys; Romanos Saranac Lanes; Kanu Restaurant at Whiteface Lodge; Dancing Bears Restaurant at High Peaks Resort, Desperado's Mexican Restaurant; The Cellar Bistro; Maggie's Pub at Lake Placid Lodge; Northern Exposure Restaurant at Northwoods Inn and Great Adirondack Steak & Seafood.    You will receive a ballot and after you sample all the wings, you can vote for your favorite. The winner will be announced live on WSLP/93.3 FM.

More exciting news!   We just received word that we have a family pack of four tickets to Stars on Ice in Lake Placid to raffle at Wing Wars 3 as well!  

Rummage Sale to benefit Life Flight

The good folks at St. Regis Falls Volunteer Fire Department host a rummage sale this weekend to benefit North Country Life Flight. The sale starts Friday with an early bird special from 4-7 pm and Saturday they host a bake sale as well. They tell us they have a large sale planned with lots of great items to choose from.
Visit the sale on Saturday from 8 am till 1 pm.

WING WARS 3

Wing Wars 3 is back! On Sunday, November 14th from noon-4pm local restaurants will compete to see who has the best chicken wing around! The event will be held at Wiseguys in Lake Placid. $12.00 at the door gets you all-you-can-eat wings! AND - 100% of the door proceeds will benefit North Country Life Flight! So far 8 restaurants have signed up - which means over 4000 wings at the event! Please help spread the word!"  

You will be amazed and delighted at the tasty variety of wings the restaurants offer.  Who will win the trophy for the best wings in the North Country this year???   You can help decide while raising money for North Country Life Flight!  Thanks to WSLP-FM/93.3 for organizing and sponsoring this fun event.  

The weather forecast looks good for sunshine this Saturday as North Country Life Flight hosts its annual PumpkinFest at Mt. Pisgah Ski Center from 10 am till 4 pm.   The ground team has been busy collecting pumpkins, supplies, items for the silent auction and with all the preparations to make this year's PumpkinFest a great day of fun for families.

Join us for a day of fun with music, food, games, hair and face painting, crafts, raffles, bake sale, a fabulous silent auction and our famous Cake Walk featuring cakes from the best and most exclusive chefs in the region.  Sid Ward, Jr. of Jay will sell his beautiful handcrafted cutting boards to benefit Life Flight.  Great gifts!  Stop by and meet the Life Flight team.   National Grid will present an electrical safety demonstration for families and the Saranac Lake Fire Department snorkel truck is expected to be at PumpkinFest too!

The community support of PumpkinFest is so heartwarming.   Community support is what has made 21 years of air rescue missions possible.   We look forward to seeing you at PumpkinFest.   Dress in layers and hopefully we can shed some as the sun shines on PumpkinFest!

Life Flight's PumpkinFest!!!

A great day of family fun is coming soon!   Saturday, October 9 from 10-4 at Mt. Pisgah Ski Center in Saranac Lake, North Country Life Flight's PumpkinFest!   Come join the fun and enjoy music, food, a bake sale, games, face and hair painting and a silent auction.   Sid Ward of Jay will be there selling his beautiful handcrafted cutting boards with all proceeds going to North Country Life Flight.   And yes, the Cake Walk is back featuring cakes from the best and most exclusive bakers in the North Country!   Admission is a $1 donation to North Country Life Flight.   Your support will help save lives.

The Raquette River Quilters hold their 14 annual quilting show Aug 5-7 at the Goff Nelson Library in Tupper Lake.   One lucky winner will take home this beautiful 82x102 Autumn Forest quilt.  It is being raffled to benefit North Country Life Flight.  Drawing is Saturday.   Eight members of the group pass the quilt from hand to hand to work on it and it took about a year to complete.   Pauline Villeneuve and Janet Ringrose hold the quilt in this photo by Newton Greiner/Tupper Lake.

August 1 Craft Fair in Long Lake

Come see us Sun. Aug 1 from 10-4 at the Heart of the Park Craft Fair at the Mt. Sabattis Pavilion on Route 28 in Long Lake featuring music by Reflections in the afternoon. Sid Ward Jr. will be in Life Flight's booth offering his beautiful handcrafted hardwood cutting boards for sale, all to benefit North Country Life Flight. Stop by!

Be part of a great event to benefit North Country Life Flight's air rescue mission! Volunteer sitters will sit down, smack down on every one of the 7,700 seats in Lake Placid's historic Olympic Center Arena to raise funds for North Country Life Flight! Last year, Olympic athletes, area politicians and other dignitaries, the Lake Placid High School Honor Society and Life Flight volunteers smacked down in every seat in the Arena in less than 30 minutes - the dollars pledged help save lives.

Mark your calendars for the 12th Annual Champlain Valley Spring Nationals, a classic car show held May 29 & 30 at Clinton County Fairgrounds in Plattsburgh, NY.
